Nance Appliance?

I am 12 years old,, I have a cross-bite, and in March 2010, I got my braces off and wore a retainer until October.
After the orthodontist told me to stop wearing it, he decided I need to get the rest of my molars pulled and have a
"Nance Appliance" put in, and my parents decided to wait it out to let my teeth fall out themselves.
To be honest I kind of want braces again, because I really miss them and when I had them I only ever got blue colours.
Is the Nance Appliance worth it? and do my teeth look like they used to have braces, (perfect)? (look at profile pic)
