Finally, a week after my extractions I got my braces fitted. I was kind of excited to have them on after dreading to get them for so long.
The whole procedure took about 45 minutes, and after wards he gave me some mouthwash, toothpaste and an interdental brush. I've got ceramics on the top and metal on the bottom.
So far no pain, but I'm not looking forward to the next few days!

Re: Got braced
Congrats on your new braces!
Re: Got braced
Congrats! Today is one week for me. I actually go on Thursday for three extractions.
If you process is anything like mine your teeth will be tender for about a week. I'm now to the point where I can pretty much chew somewhat normally again. Just in time for the extractions, right?

Re: Got braced
Thanks guys :)
My teeth are a little sensitive today, and I can feel slight constant pressure in my mouth. Tried to bite into a small biscuit with my front teeth, but that was a bad idea. Soups and broths it is then.
Also, is it normal to feel as if the teeth are "looser" than normal in their sockets? Or is that just me being paranoid?

Yep, totally normal. I have a front tooth that had been clicking back and forth for about two weeks...finally holding still for two days now. I really had to keep myself from messing with it.MalteseFalcon wrote: Also, is it normal to feel as if the teeth are "looser" than normal in their sockets? Or is that just me being paranoid?
