Anyone still have to get veneers/lumineers after braces?

I was told by my ortho that my two front teeth show a lot of "wear" and they are short. So he suggested that I get veneers for the lower part of my teeth. Also I have a small tooth that I call my "mini" tooth, that I don't really see changing with braces. So I'm looking at three separate veneers. Although I think I'm looking into lumineers because they don't have to shave your tooth down. So even once the braces are off I still have a ways to go and more $$$ to spend! :0

I don't think your teeth are too short in comparision with the others.

I might be crazy but it seems as though my teeth look bigger since getting braces. I have teeth that are on the small side. I don't know if the fact that are aligning properly makes them look bigger or the teeth are coming out of the gum more....

I would just wait and see how they look at the end.

One of my first consults, with an ortho I didn't choose, he wanted to do the surgery to widen the upper arch, full braces and then cover 16 of my teeth with veneers at the end. Looking back now, he was crazy!

Woah 16 teeth in veneers? I think you're right though, you don't really know until the braces are off. Guess we will see.

Yep, 16 veneers! I thought, "Why bother with braces then?"

I have had many people tell me that once I get my braces off, my teeth will look huge.
I have upper ceramic and lower metals, when my wires are out during adjustments, my teeth look pretty big.

Did your ortho mention bonding? It it will work for you, it would be much cheaper than veneers.

I will probably have a few veneers...simply for aesthetics. I already have to have 2 implants with bridges and a little gum grafting so I'm already looking at an additional $5,000 to $8,000 so if I need a few veneers or bonding then so be it. I started this journey because I wanted MY ideal and best smile so to me it's worth the money to achieve that.
