Am I being Paranoid now?

#1 Post by lindesd »

I had my braces removed 3wks ago tomorrow. I am pretty pleased with the outcome. However, I notice a fine hair-line space between my two front teeth, and it will not close. I am quite sure that it is only noticeable to me. But, I don't like it. I am scheduled to see my ortho again on July 11th. Do you think I should call him before then, or wait to discuss this concern at my next appt? I am currently wearing the Hawley retainer. So, Will he be able to close the space with it, and should I wait for the next appt. Like I said, just a teeny-tiny space. Probably only noticeable to me. Also, the two top front teeth are still quite loose.

Wow, I thought that once the braces were off things would get easier, but I guess you have to conduct trainer tweeking for a while too huh???? Now on to retainer drama

By the way, where is Dr. Rick???

I had space in between my bottom front teeth when I had my braces put on to prepare me for jaw surgery.

My ortho put a 4 tooth chain on, which strongly connected my front 4 teeth. It closed the space in a week.

Just a suggestion.

I think they can do some minor tweaking with the Hawley, if I'm not mistaken. Doesn't sound like it's a very big gap you're talking about, could you even be imagining it?
