#1 Post by elise213211 »

I've been brushing my teeth along the gums as hard as I can and trying my best to brush my teeth, but whenever i go to my orthodontist she tells me im not brushing right. Can someone explain to me how to brush my teeth the right way? o_o"

Well, first and foremost, I advise you to NOT brush as hard as you can. Brushing too hard can wear away at the enamel and cause discoloration and sensitivity, among other things. It can also force your gum line to recede which will cause many aesthetic and oral complications. Brush gently, making circular strokes around the surface of each tooth. If you have braces, make sure to not only brush the fronts of the teeth where the brackets are, but underneath and above the brackets as well. Never forget to brush the lingual side (part of tooth that's facing towards the inside of your mouth) since many people tend to forget to thoroughly clean this area.
