re-sculpting teeth?

Hey I was looking at my teeth in the mirror and now that they are beginning to straighten out it looks like a few of them are not shaped right. I'm guessing from years of wear being crooked and shaped them that way. My question is does your orthodontist reshape your teeth during your treatment?

I have the same problem. At one time, I asked if he could please shave down one of my lower teeth because once it straightened out, one edge of it was pointy (kind of like Gumby's head!), and he shaved it a little bit, but said he couldn't do anymore until "a couple more wires down the road". I guess they want to make sure your teeth are all in the proper position before they go shaving things down (in case they move, and look uneven again). Try asking, and see what he says. :D

My Ortho manicures the teeth after braces come off.

At one point my ortho mentioned some reshaping and bonding for me. I assume at the end of treatment.
