A bit of a break

#1 Post by njkonert »

Since my orthodontist found a cavity between my front two teeth, he took my wire off so I can get the cavity filled. So for a day and a half I have no wire. My teeth are enjoying the break and flossing is so much easier. Although the inside of my month is not enjoying it too much as the brackets are digging into my month more now. So now in three days, I have two orthodontic appts and one dentist appt that is not fun :(.

Oh I know what you mean! For the few minutes that I've had my wires out, the brackets are about a thousand times more noticeable! The wire holds the rest of your lips up off of your teeth, but when it's out, the brackets just protrude up like daggers!

Yeah, that moment with the wire off is so yucky. I am always relieved to have the wire put back on and the ligs in place.
Metal braces from March 2011 until October 2012. Hawley retainers since October 2012.
