Teeth literally LOOSE..

So I searched and saw that a lot of people experience the feeling that their teeth are loose and feel like they're going to fall out, etc.. but is it normal for them to literally come loose? My tooth is sensitive and kind of achy right now (almost 6 weeks since they were put on) and I can actually wiggle it.. I know it's moving, because I can see the bracket moving when I wiggle it. I just want to know if it's normal for them to literally be loose enough to wiggle.. if not, then I'm going to panic.

I too have noticed that my teeth feel very loose and if i push on them with my tongue, they feel like they are shifting. While my teeth don't feel that they are going to fall out, they feel very loose and wiggly. I have had my braces on for 22 days, and i wonder if this is normal? At times some of my teeth are so sensitive and then a few days later they are fine and others start to feel sensitive. I am hoping this is normal and others have had the same experience.

I'm having similar experiences with my teeth after 28 days in braces... definitely loose feeling with that "moving" sensation when I push with my tongue. I take this as encouragement that my investment is paying off!

Yeah, they hurt/were uncomfortable for about the first two weeks.. Got used to them, and some days one will start to ache and feel loose, then it's fine a few days later, and another will start to feel the same way.. it's just sporadic. But I worry because I actually used my finger to wiggle, and it's visible, so.. I dunno. Hopefully it's normal :/

Hi,
Ive had braces for over a year now, my teeth are a little loose, it's normal, dont worry! I dont know if wiggling them with your finger is a particularly good idea!?

I have had a few of my teeth become literally loose to the point where I could wiggle them. My husband was even able to confirm this so I know I wasn't going totally nuts! Since then though, they have settled and are no longer able to be wiggled. I just assumed it was part of the process so I would not worry too much.

It's normal. They have to become loose so that they can move into their corrected position. My orthodontist said that it's fine.

Totally normal, fortunately I had read about this on here so I didn't freak out, but it's quite unnerving.

It's part of the process. Teeth returned to stability when you were a retainer for a few months
