Afraid of breaking a bottom bracket off while I sleep...

So, I've had my top brackets on for a month and just got my bottom brackets on today. I have a deep over bite, so now my top teeth hit my bottom brackets and my molars don't meet in the back. I was expecting the ortho to give me something like a bite turbo to protect my brackets but he didn't. I tend to grind my teeth at night, so I'm worried I'll end up breaking a bracket of in my sleep... I voiced my concern to the ortho, but he said let's give it a month and see if it's really a problem.

I suppose I should trust that he knows what he's talking about, but I'm still worried. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to ease my mind and protect my brackets?

You could try using wax over the bottom brackets, just a big chunk. I know when my overbite was bigger and i had sores on my inner lip, putting huge amounts of wax on the brackets kept me from closing my mouth completley.

My lower teeth are so crowded that I broke one of my lower brackets the very first night I had braces. (It was from the crooked teeth so it wasn't even attached to the archwire yet, too far away) but when i went back to the ortho she didn't say anything except, "I'm glad you didn't swallow it!" and proceeded to attach a new bracket for me.
