Whitening teeth after braces

Hello again,
My teeth are yellowish looking. Im not sure why, as I dont smoke, dont drink coffee or tea and brush my teeth 2x a day.
After my braces come off, I want to get my teeth whitened.
I have heard mixed reviews. Some say getting them proffessionally done will cause serious tooth sensitvity and to whiten only by toothpaste and mouthwash. I have sensitive teeth now.
What are your thoughts on the best procedure to get teeth whitened?

My dentist included a Zoom whitening in the package price of my IAs. Since my teeth are not sensitive now I see no problem.
Do you use tooth paste for sensitive teeth? Has that helped?

I've done a LOT of research on this and I absolutely refuse to have them professionally whitened by the Zoom method. Most reviews I've read for that are negative with most people saying it was excrutiatingly painful. I have sensitive teeth too.
My retainers are going to be like invisaligners and they will be able to be used for bleaching. The stuff my dentist recommends will cause some sensitivity but since it takes a month to do it (once a day for an hour) it's not quite as bad as the Zoom.
I can deal with some sensitivity so that won't be a big deal for me but I can't bring myself to do the Zoom. Plus, even though Zoom gives you a mega whitening boost that first time, you still have to use trays at home for the next 2 weeks for full effect...so I opted for the slower, less painful way that will return the same results.

While I had my braces my teeth looked yellowish too so I purchased a groupon to have my teeth whitened after I got my braces off. Now that my braces are off I don't think I need to have my teeth whitened. They look white enough. After all the hardware was taken out and brushing regularly my teeth whitened up a lot. Now I might just gift the groupon but then I don't want to offend anyone. LOL.

I don't think whitening toothpastes are actually capable of 'whitening' the teeth, they are just more abrasive and remove surface stains.

Hi,
Sorry I have no idea about professional whitening but when I had my brace removed my orthodontist gave my teeth such a good polish that they look quite white compared with how the looked with it on. See what you think when they're removed.

I got free 'at home' whitening after my braces came off, it's 16% (average strength) to use with my invisilign retainers. I'm not gonna lie..... I found it unbearably painful. I didnt have sensitive teeth either. Apparently some people have agonising pain and others have no pain whatsoever. I've tried it three times now over the space of three months ( I keep forgetting how bad it is!) and seriously not worth it. It's like shooting pains right into the nerve of every tooth, total agony for like 12 hrs. I even tried just leaving it on for an hour but still the same. It should work in 2-4 hrs. Im gutted that I've not been able to do mine but must admit I was really surprised how White my teeth looked as soon as my braces were removed anyway. Don't mean to put people off whitening but just wanted to share my experience, I had no idea that the at home bleach would cause such pain

Trying the Crest whitening strips would be better. They have good reviews. And as you're only covering the front faces of your teeth - less problems with sensitivity
