Are chains still sore if no gaps?

#1 Post by lingual or nought »

My ortho chained some of my top and bottom teeth with powerchains today. Many people have said how sore they become the next day. My teeth are close together, so will the chains still be sore?

Whenever new chains were put on, my teeth were sore--even at the end of treatment when my gaps were closed. And my teeth didn't wait until the next day; they were sore a few hours after my appointment.
But that was just me. You could be entirely different.

I had a powerchain on 6 teeth that had no gaps inbetween them and yeah, they were a little sore.

So in retrospect, mine weren't sore, thankfully.
