Bleeding with brace (impacted canine)

#1 Post by lisa78 »

Hello

I haven't posted for a month or so. I've had upper ceramics for 8 weeks now to pull a partially erupted canine tooth into place.
I have a little bracket attached the the partially erupted canine tooth and a ligature to pull the tooth down slowly. So far not much of a difference in that I can't see it growing or of it is it's taking forever. Is 8 weeks too soon to expect to see any development? Also the canine tooth that is being pulled down is bleeding when I brush. The gums around it. Is this normal? I don't see my dentist for another 2 weeks and am starting to worry.
Thanks

I have a cannine tooth that tookforwever to crow in and when it finally decided to, it grew behind all the other teeth (instead of in front of them like most cases of the canines) and it seems to have taken and will be taking forever to get it perfect don't worry we will have patience together :)
