WOOHOO!
Just realized that if I keep my adjustments every four weeks then I'm SET for the next few months: Adjustment early November, can eat by Thanksgiving. Adjustment early December, eat by Christmas. Adjustment early January, eat by birthday. Adjustment early February, f*ck my life can't have candy for Valentine's day. It's okay I have to buy myself candy anyway I'll get like milk chocolate or something. Something melty.

Re: WOOHOO!
That is so funny! I too have my adjustments at the beginning of each month. My last one was two weeks ago so I should be good for thanksgiving. My next is December 9th so I should be good for Christmas.
I have heard that the teeth will only hurt for a day or two after adjustments but mine seem to hurt for like two weeks. I don't mind because it seems as if they are moving when they hurt.

LOL I was scheduled 2 days before Christmas because the week before was all booked up by the early birds lol....at least I can enjoy new years
Re: WOOHOO!
I'd say you'll deserve a big box of melty chocolates by valentines day!
In the FML category, I had to postpone getting my braces, so now they go on mid December + spacers, and molar bands just before Xmas, lol! Hooray.

That's right! Sucks that you would miss out of Christmas treats but at least you'll have New Years.BBQ Grill wrote:LOL I was scheduled 2 days before Christmas because the week before was all booked up by the early birds lol....at least I can enjoy new years

Oh gosh nooo that's terrible! But hey sooner they're on the sooner they're off so now it's just a matter of time.Sallee wrote:I'd say you'll deserve a big box of melty chocolates by valentines day!

Mine only hurt for a few days after an adjustment... but then there's another round of pain 2 or 3 weeks later! Anyone else get that?

I get that. Its usually 2 weeks to the day after my adjustment, I get a day or two of soreness. Its much less intense than the soreness immediately following an adjustment.Olive wrote:Mine only hurt for a few days after an adjustment... but then there's another round of pain 2 or 3 weeks later! I don´t know if this is healthy, but I eat almost the same I would any day. Even the day after adjustment. Last friday I got my adjusment and on saturday I was on with chicken, salad and stuff like that!! No soup for me! I feel some pain, but not too bad. Granted: I can´t bite, just chew, but it is like that all the time. I have forgotten about eating sandwich or pizza without fork and knife. I even eat nuts (I try to be careful, of course).
However, I get some acute and very localized pain in one or two teeth 4 days after adjustment. Not that it prevents me from eating. Not too bad, though.
There is this bracket in one of my molars that keeps poping out. It is always the same one and I thought I was being too hard on my braces but last time it poped out the very next day after adjustment (oh, I had it bonded again because it was out too). Basically it lasted about 36 hours glued to my molar before it popped out again, while eating a very soft cereal :S

Wow I have no idea what that means maybe you should bring that to your ortho's attention just in case it turns out to be something big.Crafter wrote:I don´t know if this is healthy, but I eat almost the same I would any day. Food IS SO delicious. Sweet delectable edible delights that they are! Kisses are my favorite chocolates because they're small and milk chocolate so they melt easily. Perfect for the poor unfortunate bracies...BracedSurgeryStudent wrote:That's awesome.
