I found this site a couple of weeks ago, and it's been such a great place to come for information and encouragement. I'm in my 50s and got top braces this August. I got the bottom braces this week -- I forgot how sore I was the first time round. Ouch. I have a pretty bad overbite, my top teeth slant inwards and my bottom teeth are just all over the place. So glad I've finally been able to do this!
While I'm not quite 50 yet (but not that far off), I'm following much the same timeline as you. Lower braces on in August and upper in early October. Looking forward to sharing this journey with you!
