Hawley help

#1 Post by kaylaa »

Hi all,

I posted in the retainer forum as well, but it doesn't seem to get as much traffic. I dropped my retainer on the floor and it seems to be misaligned.

My ortho is closed on weekends. Should I wear my retainer or not? If
I wear it my tooth might shift because my hawley bow is pressing on my front right insisor. If I don't wear it my teeth might shift because I'm not wearing a retainer.

Any advise is greatly appreciated :)

Do you have bonded retainers as well? I'm just thinking back to when my braces were removed - I had the bonded retainers on straightaway, but the Hawleys came a week later. Based on that, I would not wear the bent retainer over the weekend, and get onto your ortho first thing Monday. Good luck
