So last tuesday I had my spacers put in and I go back on tuesday for a 30min appointment, which I presumed i'd be getting the brackets and wire but now I'm not so sure since I have an additional 30min appointment again the week after.
I know I should've asked, but I was nervous and forgot!!

That sounds like what happened to me. I went back in one week and they took the spacers out and put more in for another week. My teeth were so tight they decided to wait 2 weeks before trying to put the metal bands in.

It's probably just to check your spacers, and see if you need bigger ones. it takes a little longer to put the brackets on.

oh no, I hope I don't have to put up with spacers for another week, these things are so annoying!!

It may be your ortho is planning to brace one arch next week and the other a week later, rather than putting you through it all in one appointment?
