Chipped tooth! What do i do?!!!!

I had fixed chipped my tooth long before I had braces and suddenly, the bonding of the chipped tooth decided to fall out last night. It's the second tooth to the right. I've made an appointment with the dentist on the 9/2. It's 3 days away! I have no idea how my dentist will be able to fix it with the braces in the way. I guess it is possible...What do I do now? I read things about infections forming after a chip? How long does this take? HELP!

Don't worry about infections. As long as the original chip didn't go down to the root, your tooth isn't going to get infected.
I'd be extra-careful with oral hygiene until it's repaired so you don't break down the enamel. Other than that, you should be fine until then.
Can your dentist perform the repair with the braces in the way? I'd e-mail his office a picture and ask if he needs the tooth debracketed and/or the archwire removed to perform the repair.
