Loose front tooth and it's lower than the other front one?

#1 Post by Leelee37 »

This is driving me crazy and I wonder if this is normal? I got braced 2 weeks ago. Everything was feeling better until yesterday when I ate a hard sandwich. One of my front teeth is sore and wiggly and is now lower than the one next to it so my front teeth are now uneven. I'm freaking, it looks funny! Will this go away? Is it normal?

Yes it is normal. The teeth loosen in order to be able to move to their new positioning. Unfortunately, we have to go through some ackward positioning before our treatment is finished. My front teeth are a bit different right now. I hate that, but I have to have faith in my end result.

Hang in there.

Oh thanks! It just feels so strange. I'm afraid it's going to fall out!

I'm no dentist, but when I worry about my teeth falling out, I remind myself that I use my Waterpik and floss daily, and rinse with hydrogen peroxide and mouthwash, and with all that hygiene action going on, my gums are too healthy for teeth to fall out. If your gums are healthy, you should keep your teeth for the rest of your life. You don't need to floss all your teeth... Only the ones you want to keep.
