The only thing I know of is if you do a google search for your orthodontist, sometimes you're allowed to write a review. I've only seen one review for my orthodontist online.

If you write something negative, can you get sued over it?

You can't get sued for writing an honest review no. I know there has been issues on this website about orthodontists not liking bad feedback. But google reviews are impartial so you can say what you want, a bad orthodontist should be held accountable and lose future patients if he doesn't treat people correctly.

Yelp and Google have reviews. It's hard to objectively review and ortho, though. You can compare a barbecue joint against another because you've experienced both but your ortho is kinda your ortho and you don't have much to compare them to.

More and more doctor reviews are being posted on Yelp. I would start there.
I'm the owner/admin of this site. Had ceramic uppers, metal lowers ~3 years in my early 40's. Now in Hawley retainers at night!
