Sinus Pain

#1 Post by Lillypad »

Has anyone else experienced sinus pain? My teeth are so sore I can barely eat or chew. I haven't had an adjustment in almost two weeks.

I have had a lot of trouble with my sinuses since having braces. At first I though it was coincidence but when visiting my chiropracter he said that he has seen it happen before with braces, something to do with the effect it has on the bones in the skull. He has done adjustments on me that relieve the pain and then things are a lot easier. I have to have this done after every adjustment tho, you need to find a chiropracter that knows a lots about the skull as not all of them do. Hope this helps :)

Yup. I've only had two adjustments so far but both times I've had lots sinus pain, especially on the first day. By the second day it's eased off and has settled into my teeth. I think the sinus pain is actually worse that when it's in my teeth. It's certainly more distracting and has a higher impact on what I'm doing.

I think the reason I get it is I do have problems in that area already. I had surgery ten years ago and will be having revision surgery in the next year or two. It doesn't take a lot to set my sinus throbbing.
