Hi,
My ortho has said that my right lateral incisor is smaller than my left one. For months (I reckon over six-eight months), she has tried to close a gap between lateral incisor and canine tooth on that side that happened when the canine was moved over to better fit the bite.
There is a persistent -- about 1 MM gap -- between the lateral incisor and the canine tooth. Honestly, I actually have to suck down my saliva to see the gap -- it is quite small.
Anyway, she has mentioned getting the braces off and perhaps using bonding as even double power chains for months have not closed the gap.
Do you think this is reasonable? Have others had trouble with a small gap in this space? Everything else looks great -- midline is spot on -- but I just am afraid of having the braces taken off before I'm ready.
Any experiences? Please help!

Re: URGENT HELP: small lateral incisor/canine gap on right s
My ortho mentioned that I will need bonding done in between my canine and the premolar to fill in the small gap. He said he could not close it without messing up my bite. Honestly, I don't stress about it. The gap is small (about 1 maybe 1.5mm) and I am not even sure I will have it bonded. Not before I fix my WAY bigger problems with the missing teeth anyway

Had full mouth metal braces for 21 months. Debonded April 2013. Now wearing clear plastic retainers every other night.
