Wisdom Teeth

#1 Post by OmgDom. »

Sooo my orthos assistant says I'm at the "very final stages", my question is what about my wisdom teeth? I tried to ask my ortho but before I could even finish he sad "just gargle with salt water" he always seems like he's in a rush or something. ANYWAY my question is if my braces are coming off in the near future what will happen to my four wisdom teeth that are starting to come in quite a bit. How will I even wear a retainer if they're there? I would assume my ortho would've said something to me by now, like "hey before we take these babies off, we have to get your wisdom teeth out" but he hasn't said a word. What gives?

Thanks in advance.

Sometimes wisdom teeth have enough room to grow without disrupting the rest of your mouth. Mine didn't have to be extracted for my treatment. Make sure to grab a hold of that busy doctor though, it certainly sounds like you need to remind him of the finer details.

I had Inman Aligners on both my top and bottom teeth.

If I had been more prompt about getting my wisdom teeth pulled or at least getting a retainer until they were, I probably wouldn't be spending almost five grand on ortho treatment at 27. Definitely follow up on that.
