Hello,

Which do you prefer to use with your braces?

I'm looking into buying an electronic toothbrush when I come to get braces, just unsure which are the best brands, or whether sticking to a normal non-electric toothbrush.

I was given an oral b professional care smart series electric toothbrush. I has orthodontic brush heads. I used it exclusively for awhile, but now went back to a manual toothbrush. I feel I can get into the crevices better with a manual brush.

I use both.

I first used my electric toothbrush (Oral B Professional Care a round head that spins cannot remember the exact model number) but I ended up going back to a manual as I found it easier to get into everything. I still have my electric toothbrush and will definitely be using it again once the braces are off. Eventually I want to try a different style of electric toothbrush, like the Oral B Trizone.

I use the sonic and my dentist also old me to use kids tooth brush for getting around the brackets better.m

I have a fancy oral b something or other. I only use it before I have an adjustment to get things super shiny clean. For the rest of the time I use snoopy kids toothbrushes from the dollar tree. They only last a week or so before the brackets tear up the bristles. I was going broke on replacement heads with the electric.

I just got one of those make-up mirrors. This one has regular power on one side, and 8x power on the other. So naturally on the 8x side I start checking out my braces. WOW! There's lots of yuck on the teeth under the wire, where the brushes can't really get.

So now I'd recommend a high power mirror to aid in your hygiene efforts.

I use GUM ORTHODONTIC TOOTH BRUSH #124.It is specifically designed for braces.And i must say thats it is REEEEEAAAAALY AWESOME!!!!!

I was given an Oral-B electric toothbrush when my treatment started, and it's been great. I noticed a big difference when I go to the dentist - before I always used to get a lesson on how to brush properly, and now they just tell me I'm doing such a great job a cleaning my teeth, they're so clean, etc. This only started happening after I got braces, and there's no way having braces made it easier to keep my teeth clean!

I use the electric twice a day (in the morning and before bed), and use a regular toothbrush after meals and during the day.

I prefer my electric toothbrush. I use large interdental brushes to clean under the wires and the sides of the brackets and then I use my electric toothbrush. I prefer it as it has a smaller head and I can get to everything. I tend to brush too hard and so it is better for me to use the electric than the manual.
