That is so awesome that you and your daughter are getting them (got them)together, I LOVE that! I'm getting them with my FI so the braces buddy idea is very appealing to me. Good luck to you both!!

good for you! I wish I had done the same when my daughter got braces. I was 45 then and i'm 49 now. her straight teeth are very motivating and she's a great source of information and advice. good luck to both of you!

I posted this question in another forum with no response. Did you let your daughter watch you get your first to help ease her nerves? Or did you make her go first, or both at the same time.

Congratulations! My eldest and I are in ours together too (hers went on first though and will be off slightly before mine). She's been absolutely stoic throughout the whole thing. Me-whinge whinge and more whinge! We keep saying that in the case of braces she's the Mum and I'm the kid
It's nice to have someone to complain to about the little things though, who just gets it

Well we actually were in chairs diagonal from each other, and we got them at the same time! She hates hers and is in pain.....I love mine and smile all the time, and I have rubber bands and love them!!!

The day I was supposed to get my lowers removed (when I wore lowers only), I actually got uppers put on. The same day my daughter got her lowers put on after having just uppers for 5 months. We often have ortho visits on the same day, or in the same week. (We have different ortho offices though.) I'm already in elastics, and she's been hearing talk of elastics. It is nice to have someone in the family to commiserate with. But mine bother me a lot, whereas she basically forgets about hers in between appts, and isn't very interested in mine!!
