Confused - Advice Needed

#1 Post by missivy »

I had my third consultation yesterday and I was told that I would be a candidate for Invisalign. Two orthodontists suggest bringing the teeth beside my front two down. Another suggest pushing my front two teeth up. I am so confused. Everyone suggests something different. All agree that following treatment that I would need a gingivectomy to remove excess gum tissue but I already knew that.

I am excited that Invisalign was suggested. Has anyone had a similar situation? Do you think Invisalign will work for me? I wish I could see the final projection before I make a decision. I am just ready to start and finish.

Im no expert but in my opinion once the gums have been reduced the front teeth will look much better and the canines need pulling down. Just my opinion.

Thank you KennyAndrew85 for your opinion. I agree, the orthodontist I visited yesterday made me question the two other opinions. I scheduled a second consult with one of the orthodontists so hopefully I can get started.

Thanks again, I just want to be sure of things considering the costs.

I personally think the teeth would look better if the two incisors were brought down. If the front teeth were pushed up then your canines might look a little fang like. Of course if that is the look you're going for..... ;-)
