Two days after brackets - no arch wire yet

#1 Post by Maji »

Hello all,

Hope everyone is doing well. Still have lower brackets only, and having front bottom tooth extracted on 1/23, then getting arch wire a few hours later. Wish the oral surgeon and ortho were one person! Anyway, a good opportunity to get used to brackets. I have not used the wax yet, nor Rincinol, much to my surprise. When I bite my cheek occasionally, it really hurts, so I thought the brackets would really be a pain, but no. Maybe having the wire put in will change that. Have a great weekend, everyone! Thanks for your messages. :-)

Glad to hear the archwire-less brackets are not bothering you! When the assistants take out my wires and let me brush (or leave me alone long enough), I find that the brackets irritate my lips because they "squeeze" in between the brackets and get scratched up. It feels so much smoother to me with the wires. :)

yep, I've found the same as zaera! When my brackets first went on they felt very rough until they got the archwire and ligs on, made it much smoother and nowhere near as rough.
