On a related note HOLY POOP I knew my teeth were bad but seeing what I started with and seeing where I am right now is just staggering. Behold, the power of braces...

I was wondering, did you have a crossbite in the beginning? How did the ortho fix this? With braces and elastics or did you have an expander?

Thank you all! And Mrs Charisma I'm hoping I could make someone else head over heels while I'm at it. My smile is a far sight better than what it used to be. Now I just need to learn how to bat the eyelashes!

Yes I did have a cross bite. There was no expander in use though. Things just sort of fell into place. After I did my four extractions, my ortho put powerchains left and right on my uppers and lowers. They pulled my canines back and made room, then the braces brought the lateral incisors to the front.
That is the initial image that my ortho took before any braces were put on me. It's a little blurry and I apologize. I used my at-the-time cheapo phone to take a picture of the screen it was displayed on. But yes in the bottom left image you can sorta see the crossbite.

Wow, your teeth are beautiful! Congratulations you must be really delighted with all the progress you've made. How much longer do you have before you have the braces off?

Well my original estimate was that I'd be wearing them for three years but for the last two adjustments my ortho has just been marvelling at my progress and how I looking like I'm almost finished. I asked her for a ball park estimate of how much longer I'll need them and she said hopefully they'll be gone within the year! Which is great because I'll be finished with my payments by September! I almost can't wait to get/see my retainers. Even though I'll be stuck with them for the rest of my life hahaha
