Problem with tissue and diastema closing?
My diastema is all but closed. There's a slight space there...but the tissue is "caught" between the two teeth. It doesn't hurt...but has anyone else had this happen as the space was closing?

Ha, Yep I REMEMBER this all too well. It was kind of weird for me because I didn't have any pain and I could wiggle the tissue a bit with my tongue if I wanted.
I am now approaching month 8. I can tell you my gap has completely closed (no tissue between) and I'm soooo happy about it! However, the tissue seems to have been "squeezed" out and moved to the front of my teeth, if that makes sense? I already had a gummy smile (not severe though) but the gum tissue above my front teeth is pretty noticeable/larger than it was when I first started. To give a better description, my gum tissue between my teeth used to stop less than half the length of my front teeth...now I have gum tissue that has been moved to the front that almost reaches the very tip of my front teeth.
Again, no pain at all though but I'm now pretty sure I'm going to need some gum surgery to remove the tissue and ensure my gap stays closed. Flossing is a bit weirder with my front teeth due to so much tissue in the front and the slight maneuvering that goes with that. However, thankfully it also hasn't been a major cosmetic issue.

Interesting! Mine has moved to the back...behind my front teeth. But he says I might still need the surgery to remove it as it is part of the reason the diastema exists to begin with...and can try to wedge back between the teeth pushing them apart again.
Ahhh. I'm into month 7.

Interesting JungleJulie. I can't really feel mine anymore, now that the space is completely closed... I'm just glad/lucky it didn't want to get caught in between.
