When is IPR usually performed?

I am almost 9 months into treatment and need (in my opinion) some IPR on my lower teeth. Mainly because I have the mother of all black triangles between my lower central incisors. And the rest are really bell-shaped. I'd love to learn at what stage during treatment others have had this done. Thanks in advance!

I had IPR done about 4-5 months before I had my braces removed. At that point, my teeth were no longer overlapping. I have pretty bad black triangles but IPR helped.

I had some done this adjustment and am 10 months in. I suspect I may get a little more but I asked about it about 2 or 3 months back and he wanted to wait. My daughter had hers done about 2 months before he took her braces off.
