So in light of the fact that us braces wearers can't crunch alot of different foods, I thought this would be a good time to crunch numbers instead in regards to braces: Nerdy? Yes. So.

Braces are a worthwhile investment, your teeth are utilized more often then your vehicle and many other things!
-say the average person eats 6 times a day (breakfast, lunch, supper and a few snacks during the day),
-7 days per week, that's 42 times a week
-365 days per year = 2190 times per year
-life expectancy is about 78 years
-take 78 minus your age at which you got braces (me, 25) =
-53 years x 2190 per year
Approximately 116,070 times in my expected lifetime I'll use my teeth. Crazy!
Perhaps this will help to encourage us in those tough days of braces that they really are worth the trouble!
