I found out after getting braces that I chew on the right side of my mouth.
It was something I had never thought about before.

I chew on the right side, mainly because I'm avoiding a big extraction hole on the left and my molar buildup that is actually useful is on the right side as well

When my useful molar buildup was on the left, I was chewing mainly on that side.

I've chewed on my right side for years.
Throughout my entire braces treatment, my left molars didn't touch enough to chew on that side. My braces came off today and the dentist build up a couple very stubborn teeth that wouldn't erupt so they now touch. My challenge now is actually learning to chew on that side. My muscles on the left are much weaker so I have to build them up in addition to getting used to the mechanics and feel of using that side for chewing. Prior to braces, my smile was much more asymmetrical than it is now. I think this is the next step in building more symmetry.

Before braces ... left. With braces ... right. Trying to retrain myself to use both sides now that things are all touching again!

I didn't have bite issues with my molars but I just kind of chew on the left by default. It's weird

Always chewed on the right... now I make a conscious effort to use both sides so I don't keep wearing down the teeth on the right side

The side that hurts the less lol, sometimes it's the right, and sometimes it's the left, but most of the time it's the left.

I mainly chew on my right side. Now that I think about it, before braces, I would chew on my right side as well. That might be part of the reason why my right side is more worn down than my left.

I dont remember which side before braces but I chew on my right side now. I am seriously trying to switch to my left but its a hard habit to break. I had extractions on both side and the left is all the way closed but the right still has a long way to go. Im assuming its because I use it more.

Before braces I chewed on either side. Since braces I only chew on left side even though I have a missing tooth on upper left side
