I'm taking a quick break from my red wine and self-pity to let y'all know that tomorrow is the big day! I was worried about chickening out and really just wanted to get the appointment over with, so I rescheduled from November 7 to first thing tomorrow morning. I'll do records, uppers, and lowers (guess I won't need spacers?) all tomorrow morning - the whole sha-bang! I'm returning to work right after, which will be very awkward... WISH ME LUCK.
Thanks to everyone for all the encouragement. I can't wait to show y'all my new bling!
My husband came home from work today with a Maverick (Top Gun) costume, so I guess tomorrow we'll dress up as Tom Cruise and his #1 teenage super fan. That makes the thought of getting braces a teeny tiny bit more bearable!
Thanks, y'all! I didn't sleep much last night and arrived at the appt. 20 minutes early. In the waiting area now and SO EXCITED about starting on the 12-18 month journey to straight teeth, a correct bite, and beautiful smile!
Well... I GOT BRACES! I'll do a longer post after work, but here's a picture. Sorry it's so big! I scratched off the dots, but it looks like I missed a little green on the bottom. Oops!

Congrats, welcome to braces world and welcome to the damon club hahaha. Hope you survive the next 5 days. A blender and shakes may be your best friend!
