Braces off Friday BUT...

Scheduled to be debraced Friday!! Yesterday I noticed a slight gap opening up between my right lateral incisor and canine teeth. So far it's very small and I noticed it because the black triangle has gotten a little bigger. The gap had been previously closed by the ortho a couple months ago. Does anyone know if they would typically go ahead with debracing or adjust the wire and give it more time? I've heard they can close small gaps with retainers which is what I'm hoping for.

I think raise your concerns with your ortho before debracing today. Make sure you are 100% with results..

I went in today and the assistant asked how everything felt and if I had any concerns. I pointed out the gap and the ortho came over a little bit later to do a final check to give the go ahead for debracing. She looked at it and apparently the wires and rubberbands made it hard for me to see, she wasn't concerned at all. When the braces came off everything looked great! It's amazing how different your teeth look with braces off.

Thanks! Yes I'm pretty happy with the results. Still getting used to the new look though. Funny I've seen people mention that other people didn't notice when they got their braces off but I've had it mentioned all day today. :tingrin:

AMAZING!!!! I think a lot of people go thru that "I wonder if they should come off yet" phase that starts just before you get them off.... I did....I couldn't believe how wrong I was!!!
