2 x 6 Partial Braces

Hi everyone,
I'm 22 years old and have just gone through a series of ortho consultations. About half of the consultations I went to determined a treatment of
2 x 6 partial braces. My case is not very serious/complicated. I just have a few gaps that was my main concern and they said I have a class I malocclusion. All of the orthos said my treatment would only be 12-18 months. I have tried to google and the little that I see about them are about pediatric treatments. Are there any older people that have this kind of treatment and can talk about your experience? I want to start treatment in January. Thanks!
