Obviously, I know everone's treatment is different, and there's no one answer to this.

I'm just wondering how far into treatment you had to start dealing with elastics?

I got my elastics at a little over 3 months, it was 100 days exactly since start of treatment.

I got my first set around 3.5 months

I'll be getting elastics when I get my bottom braces on in early February. That will be about five months after starting treatment.

I still haven't had to wear elastics, but that's due to my needing jaw surgery. I predict I will need them after my jaw heals from my upcoming surgery to fine-tune my bite.

I'll be getting my first elastics next month so that's 17 months into treatment.

I got my first elastics at my first adjustment and I've been in them (different configurations) ever since. Just passed the 7 month mark on Monday. Always elephants.. ugh!

It's been 4 months and 3 weeks for me. I just started elastics today. There's a sea lion on my bag of elastics. Size 1/4" 6.4 mm heavy.. not sure what that means..

I was in them on day 1.

I had my upper braces for 11 months before getting my lowers. Ironically, I ended up starting elastics during my first month in braces. They just put some brackets on my back molars so I could do the lower molar to upper canine configuration. I wore that one for almost my entire treatment. I didn't start in with my other elastic configurations until a couple months into my lower treatment. I was lucky enough to utilize all 20 of my hooks though.

I've had elastics in two different configurations ever since my 2nd adjustment and I'm just finishing my 10th month of treatment. I have a feeling I'll be in them almost my entire treatment.

I got them when I was 4 months into my treatment.

I will be getting them at 5 months into my treatment
