Newbie - getting cfast braces

Re: Newbie - getting cfast braces
I had fastbraces fitted in November. I went for the clear option. I was really nervous about wearing braces and the reaction I would get but it's been fine. The braces are barely noticeable. I'm glad I paid the extra for the clear. I'm 45 and others my age have shown interest in having work done. No one has had anything negative to say. The difference in my teeth in just three months is amazing. So glad I made the decision. Good luck.

Phew, that is very encouraging New Smile, thanks for that! Belle - I'm getting 6 Month Smile braces fitted on February 20th so sounds like we'll be being braced at around the same time!
My emotions about it at the moment are all over the place - veering from huge anxiety and pangs of regret to feeling pleased about finally being proactive and taking on the challenge. This forum has been a huge help to me so keep posting everyone

If, like me, you have been self conscious about your teeth and your smile then wearing a brace can be no worse. You should feel pleased with yourself for being proactive. The way I looked at it before fitting was short term pain for long term gain. I thought it would be a horrible few months but with a good result at the end. Pleasant surprise then to find that it's really ok. I'm watching what I eat to avoid staining and obviously there are some things that are difficult to eat but I can deal with that. It was my last summer holiday photos that finally convinced me to take the plunge and by this summer I should be ready to smile with confidence.
