Is it normal to have an uneven gum line?

Here are a few pics of my teeth. As you can see, the gum line where my canine teeth (cuspids) are, they are uneven with each other. One is clearly lower than the other. Is this normal? Is there a name for this?
P.S. - I stood very straight and still for these pics and did not tilt my head or move my mouth/jaw in any way that would affect the outcome of the pics.

No, it's not normal. An uneven gum line (assuming the teeth are level) can be cause by either gum overgrowth and/or gum recession. Combine the two and you end up with a rather uneven gum line. A dentist or orthodontist can tell at a glance what the issue is.

Obviously its not the aesthetic ideal - but its not unusual. It could be caused by difference in the gumline, or a mandibular can't (jaw not perfectly horizontal), or one tooth more erupted than the other.
Whether or not you can fix it depends on the cause, but I certainly wouldn't worry too much about it. If you look at a lot of before and after braces pictures, you will see this is a pretty common thing.

don't forget that your gumline will change as your teeth move so try not to worry too much yet

i have the same thing on my canines, the gum line is lower. My dentist said my gumlime was receding and to brush with less force and always use a soft brush.
