When you just start to feel "over it"
Oh my gosh. I am into month 14 and for the first time I am just OVER MY BRACES!!! I feel so whiny today! LOL!
I just want to be finished. No more long flossing sessions. No more waking up with my lips "glued" to my brackets. I just want my smooth teeth.
Alright. Rant over.

I hear you! I'm just approaching my one year braces anniversary and I was just saying the same thing. I'm kinda done with all the extra planning and effort.

You're definitely not alone feeling like this sometimes.

I can relate right now...I'm close to six months in and a couple days ago I just wanted to get these things off. I'm fine now hahahaha.

umm yeah... I'm pretty sure I just thought this in my head. I'm 11-1/2 months in and about 8 days into elastics and I'm over it. lol It hasn't been too hard with elastics but it's more annoying since I can't eat with them in.
Re: When you just start to feel "over it"
Right there with you! 16 months into my 14 month sentence and 1 month to go. ARGH! Hurry up already!!!
Re: When you just start to feel "over it"
I think I really was over it when I realized that I would probably be stuck with retainers forever, if and when these torture devices ever are removed. Other special moments: When I try to apply a dab of wax, and it sticks to my fingers and not to the bracket. When I try to brush my teeth and forget to take out the elastics. When I am trying to apply an elastic and it flies off the hook and into my mouth somewhere.
Whiney? I'll show ya whiney.

Re: When you just start to feel "over it"
I'll be 15 months into my grueling sentence on Thursday. I'm now 3 weeks post-op from my upper jaw surgery, with my mouth still banded shut, and still on a liquid diet. I'm over it RIGHT FREAKING NOW! I'm swollen still, hungry, I have a loose tooth from one of my elastics, and I still have up to 6-8 months left with braces!
Re: When you just start to feel "over it"
I haven't been in braces nearly as long, but I'm ready to be done. They look good to me. I've even been debating about demanding they be removed.

6 months in and I'm over it too...I want to EAT!!!!! I swear when I brush/floss/pick after eating I pull another entire meal out of my teeth!!!! I have 10 months more or less to go (total sentence was estimated at 16 months)
Braces off on 8/26/14 after a year!

How right you are!!!!! Can I add to that the seemingly never ending dry lips all day causing them to stick on the brackets when trying to talk....???? So not attractive.... I must have chap stick and little boxes of that silicone wax stashed everywhere by now....MrsCharisma wrote: No more waking up with my lips "glued" to my brackets. .
