Does this upper power chain stain? It's white and I have to wear it for the next 5 weeks. It was this one, or grey: I'm worried that it will stain...what's your experiences?? I have grey on my bottoms and I know they don't stain.

All of them stain. The gray actually does stain, it just isn't very noticeable. I always go with gray because I love my coffee

I never notice the gray being stained until they are taken off. I'd say you'll be ok with the white as long as you avoid spaghetti, coffee, etc.

Btw.. Your teeth are beautiful!

Good to know...I was afraid spaghetti would stain
Thanks so much for the teeth compliment. I still have at least a year to go but from where they began the results are awesome!

Yes spaghetti or any other red sauce pasta is a big no-no with the staining.. Which really stinks cause it's something easy to eat when your teeth are sore. Curry is also a big no-no.
Wow! Yes you've had major changes! They look great! I remember you are one of my fellow extraction buddies! You have a long sentence, huh? What are they working on now?

Closing spaces on top and bottom they said, and I'm also wearing class 3 elastics. My original orthodontist told me three years...then my next orthodontist told me 2 1/2...I'm hoping for the 2 1/2!!
How are your teeth doing??

Today some white elasticy things, less obtrusive than those pictured above, were attached to my braces in order to close some gaps between my upper front teeth. I had red sauce pasta for lunch and will be having curry for dinner. I have metal braces though.

I am closing space as well. Very tiny spaces up top from extractions and spaces between my lower front teeth which are driving me NUTS!! They've been using double powerchains on me because my spaces are being stubborn. I'm wearing class II Triangle elastics.
I hope you can do the 2.5 years!! It seems from your pics that you are on track!!

Thanks! I just looked at your pics (again) and your teeth are looking awesome. I have a ton of gaps to close at the bottom but your's look pretty close to making it. Hopefully those double powerchains will work.

I went today and got my powerchain changed because I was so concerned about eating all day. A little crazed...it's grey now and I actually like it better. I know what I'll always go with now!

After less than 24 hours my elastics are now a pleasant fluorescent green

Fluorescent green? How did you manage that?
BTW, your teeth look fantastic.

The grey ones are awesome. I love coffee and blueberries and I have no problem at all. The other trick I do is eat all the bad foods the week of my adjustment so no matter what I know I'm getting a clean set. I haven't really had a problem with staining except for cherries and green mouthwash. I stay away from both of those. Funny that no other color mouthwash causes me an issue, only the green.

Perhaps I am exaggerating - the color is more a uniform yellowy-green. Curry for dinner was the culprit.
