Archwired yearbook superlatives...

#1 Post by parsleysage »

I was thinking tonight that I have been a member of Archwired for 2 months and still haven't been braced but I have amassed almost 150 posts and 3 pages in my braces story! lol! I was wondering if I am the person on the board who has made the most posts before getting braced.

That got me thinking about those yearbook superlatives, like Most Likely to Succeed, etc. I had a few thoughts, and wanted to know if you all wanted to give yourselves superlatives and/or give other posters on the board superlatives as well!

To myself I would give two superlatives, Most Anxious Google Researcher and Most Posts on Archwired Before Being Braced!

To Sunshine Ray I would give Most Determined and Most Consultations Before Getting Braced!

To sirwired I would give Most Knowledgeable About Orthodontics!

In a TIE vote I would give Most Surgeries/Dental Procedures to both samoorelaw and TMJJill!

In another TIE vote I would give Most Drink-Spittingly Hilarious Comments to both djspeece and oldfart!

Any superlatives you can think of for yourself or others?

Knows the Least About Their Treatment?
Knows the Most About Their Treatment?
Best Oral Hygiene?
Most Honest Elastics Wearer?
Most Progress Pictures Posted?
etc.

I think it is entirely appropriate that oldfart and I are tied, because I too am an old fart! Thanks Parsleysage! :D

You are too funny! I laughed even before I saw that I won. Thank you, thank you! I think I had a few pages of posts before getting braces too. I wont hog all the awards though.

*blushes* *takes bow*

Just remember: I'm not a real orthodontic expert, I just play one on Teh Interwebs. (I'm an IT engineer.) Consider any sage advice you might read from me to be worth little more than financial advice you got from your plumber.

My personal nomination is to everyone's favorite board owner/moderator, bbsadmin! Archwired is a useful place with a remarkably high Signal to Noise ratio. (And I'm a big fan of whatever was done to the board server recently; archwired is now FAST!)

Thanks! :D

We changed from HostGator to another webhost provider at the end of last year. HostGator USED TO BE a terrific company, but was taken over by a huge webhosting conglomerate which ruined it. Lots of websites jumped ship. It was a headache to change hosting providers, but the new one we chose is doing a terrific job for us.

I also want to state that I am extremely diligent about ensuring that this message board isn't filled with spam and crap.

One more thing: please help support us by making some of your oral hygiene purchases at DentaKit.com. It's getting increasingly difficult to compete with Amazon (which I have come to consider the scourge of internet retail).
I'm the owner/admin of this site. Had ceramic uppers, metal lowers ~3 years in my early 40's. Now in Hawley retainers at night!
