chubby cheeks after braces?

chubby cheeks after braces?

My face used to be slim and goodlooking and after removing four teeth and wearing braces for two years my entire head is oval and my face is really fat. It looks like you can not see any definition in my cheeks or anything. I have searched online and I have seen others have this problem but neither can they figure out how to fix it. Any person here going through chubby cheek face change after braces?

I have the same problem! I used to have quite defined cheekbones, but no longer :( I've yet to find a solution though :(

I have to ask the obvious question: What was your pre-bracing body weight and what is it now? Until I realized that you've had your braces for two years I was going to suggest that if you were new to braces a general inflammation reaction to the wires and brackets might have created some swelling, but I would imagine you are well beyond that stage. Are you having your arch widened as part of the therapy?
