will be 2 weeks fri

2 weeks on friday sinced getting top braces, they're tooth coloured/ceramic with a fine metal wire...
the first day after , one of the brackets came unglued and is sliding around the wire like anything while brushing!
Ortho said i had to wait until this fri (8th aug) to get it glued back on, as only appt free ! :(

will have bottom braces put on after a couple of adjustments to the top aparently..

Anyone had similar experience? also what colour did you have on bottom ?

Also so far im getting used to the braces, felt like i'd been smacked in the mouth every morning for the first few days, hardly able to eat and looked like id had my lips filled with collagen ha ha, but has settled down a treat !

Wow I can't believe your bracket came that loose and they didn't give you an emergency squeeze in appt. I have ceramic top and metal bottom. No one ever notices that I have braces until they offer me something I can't eat comfortably and I remind them. I think the bottom teeth will be fine in metal because they are a lot smaller. Good luck on your treatment

yeah i know, i had it glued back down again this morning and did not eat or drink anything yet it pinged off the tooth again 2 hours later.
It also didnt want to stick down the first time they tried to re-glue it.
Dunno what to think now, got appt on weds to have it glued on (again!) when they order more of that bracket.

:(:(

Sorry to hear it keeps popping off. Do you have a composite filling there? Sometimes they will pop off easier with a composite filling. I was worried about that myself as I have a large composite filling on one of my front teeth but it is staying put. I also have ceramic uppers but I have metal lowers and I have had mine on 2 weeks today too. I hope they can glue that one on so it doesn't pop off again. Good luck to you!
07/14/14 - 4 spacers put in
07/25/14 - braces top and bottom put in minus 2 molar bands that they couldn't fit
9/11/14 - 2 spacers put in between the bottom back molars
9/19/14 - last 2 bottom molar bands in and all hooked up, new wire, started elastics too
10/14/14 - new square wire change and thick elastics
04/24/17 - braces removed!!!

That's not cool that they're using your only free appointment to fix their mistake. When I got mine put on they told me that in the first 24 hours there's a chance that a bracket could come off, but that it would count towards a "broken bracket" fix because it's more of a malfunction, and wouldn't be my fault.

Thanks for the replies, the tooth that im having probs with is a natural tooth no fillings or anything there. Its beside the front teeth on the right. incisor is that it ? the other side(left) i have had no prob with so far.
This stubborn bracket keeps 'twanging' of by itself and is left rotating a 360 degree on the wire.
Soooo annoying..

i need some sort of super duper glue on that lol.

didnt eat or drink in that time either before it pinged off, just in the car on way home from appointment and then 'twang'-off it came again.
