Wire not seated in bracket

Wire not seated in bracket
I had a wire change earlier today. It looks like the wire is only seated on one side of the bracket. The ligature on the other half looks stretched out from the wire pressure. I'm assuming this is a problem. Can I try to press the wire in myself or do I need to visit the ortho tomorrow? It's one one tooth btw.
Re: Wire not seated in bracket
If there's a way you can safely try to push the wire in, I would try that. But it's always a good idea just to call your orthodontist and ask.

Re: Wire not seated in bracket
I have the same thing, the wire isn't inside the bracket on one tooth and it's been like that for a couple of adjustments. But that tooth is quite out of alignment of the other teeth so that is probably why. It's been in the same position for many months now while the other teeth have moved and I've currently got double ligs on that bracket to try and get it to budge.
Re: Wire not seated in bracket
Just back from the ortho. Apparently the wire is in the bracket "enough". I guess the combination of the thicker wire and crooked bracket is causing it to not fit perfectly. They said it shouldn't be an issue.
Re: Wire not seated in bracket
Keep an eye on it. If the ligature breaks, the ortho can just substitute a wire ligature. (Frankly, I'm surprised he didn't go ahead an put one on.)
