Root pain & canine rotation?

Still being quite new to the braces lifestyle, I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this. I'm two weeks out of an adjustment where my first square archwire was placed. My top left canine (among others) needs to be rotated a bit.

Today I've started to experience weird sensitivity and sharp pain focused at the root, specifically. Pain prior to this has just been general ache/sensitivity type of pain. Any beverage room temp or cooler seems to trigger it as does air & pressure. I can feel the root of that tooth as well, where it was never noticeable before.

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm inclined to call my ortho bit hesitant as I feel like I'm always calling about something (bracket popped off, wire disenaged from bracket, wire popped out of last bracket..its like something new each month!) I don't want to be that pain in the butt patient...but I'm also paying $$$.

Sounds like its too late. You already are an official pain the butt patient. Call and ask. Or if lesser priority, email.

So was I, very much so, btw.

It's always worth getting any unexpected pains checked out. Give your ortho a call and I'm sure they would prefer this too.

Nearly EVERYBODY has this-and-that go wrong while the braces are getting "settled in". As long as you aren't doing anything stupid like chomping down on whole apples sitcky caramels, the ortho really doesn't mind; they've seen it all before.

You should at least call the ortho; they may tell you to sit tight for a few days, or you may get asked to come in.
