Sometimes when I close my mouth I feel a little pop

Hi!

Weird question probably, but when I close my mouth tight (picture like when you have to put your lips over your brackets when you're not used to it yet) I sometimes feel a little pop inside my mouth.

It's making me paranoid. I've checked and my brackets are nice and firm, the only thing it could be is the wire being a little loose (it's never been replaced since I first put it on, in February) but it's held firmly by the brackets and the respective o-rings.

Please tell me someone else has this too!

I've noticed that too when I purse my lips. Not a noisy pop, but a tiny popping feeling. Started a couple days ago and I've only been in braces for a week. I don't know what it is! But a wire makes sense maybe. I thought at first it was my teeth moving.

Is it one of your teeth moving a little bit? Is the pop always in the same place?

Yes, it's usually in the same places but sometimes it varies a bit. I don't know, maybe it's air buildup between the teeth and the top of the brackets, maybe it's saliva building into a bubble and popping, who knows. Everything seems to be fine!

I got fizzy pops too during the first few months. I think because teeth are loose and tiny air bubbles get in between the nooks and crannies...so each time we bite down or put pressure on the teeth, those air bubbles pop. That's just my thinking. I can't be sure.
