Kissing with Class II elastics
Ok this is kind of embarrassing but here it goes. If you're going to be having a makeout session, do you remove your class II elastics?
I recently started dating someone which means a lot of kissing is involved. I have been having to take out my elastics for more time than I know I should. Has anyone kissed with them on and found it to be okay?

Hehehe, I had Class II elastics and I put them off lol!
Not only for kissing but for eating and for the sport because they were so painful.

I usually took them out in the bedroom...but kept them in for most everything else. I had class II triangles for a while, but that was after jaw surgery when I had a pretty limited range of motion anyway...

Yeah, those elastics have to go. When romance is near, elastics disappear. Man, I crack myself up.
My intent was to remove them discretely in another room, but invariably one would make some sort of twanging sound as it was yanked off a hook. Kipepeo, who I met on this board, would always laugh from the next room and she would always say something like "Got something on your mind, mister?"

I was always more worried about having hooks, or bracket edges, or metal pieces slice my wife, more than ever worrying about elastics.

As far as elastics go, depending in where you have them, your partner may not even be aware they are in...unless of course there is some serious tongue exploring going on. My guess is that you are prevented from opening your mouth very wide comfortably anyway.
As for dangerous hooks and sharp things...yes, your partner should not try to find those! Otherwise, braces and kissing are no big deal.
I still had my braces on for a short while after Dan and I started dating. There was no issue really with any of the braces stuff. And yes, I did know his intentions when I heard that all familiar twang!
