Wow, it's almost time! I'm so excited to finally start this process but BOY am I nervous... I was planing on having my weekend scheduled sonindont have to be at work for 2 days after I get my braces on but a scheduling snafu happened and now I have to go to work the SAME day I get them on.... But after that I have 2 days off. I will have about 8 hours to get used to them before I have to be in a register talking to people! How do you think that's going to be? I keep reading that the first day is not painful so I'm hoping it will be ok, and maybe even keep me distracted. Tell me about your first day or any advice!!

My speech was always fine, I was just a bit grumpy for the first week lol.

I'm scheduled to get mine on the 26th of August (Friday so weekend recovery can be done as well), though I'd also need to go into work after getting them on.

The pain and experience varies according to your pain threshold, it might hurt or it might be a walk in the park for the next few days but you will be ok regardless :)

My orthodontist rescheduled my appt due to a death in his family.. Well I'm scheduled for Tuesday and I have to be at work afterwards. Praying that I will be ok.

Hope they're going ok. Mine are due to go on Monday and i'm quite nervous too!
