TENDER TOOTH

#1 Post by amp »

Does anyone have one tooth that just always kind of hurts??
It is a tooth that has been moved the most but it still randomly hurts (or at least feels really sensitive /tender) most of the time!!! Ive been braced for 2 months....just wondering if this is normal. It is a central incisor. Thanks!

My central incisors have been fairly constantly tender/ a bit numb since bracing 2 months ago. Mentioned it to the orthodontist last week who wasn't at all surprised since they are permanently under a lot of activation and moving a lot! She thinks they will calm down a little in the next month or so - they really can't move forward much more anyway!

Yup, I have a handful of teeth that tend to be more tender/sensitive than the rest. One of them is a central incisor, and it is a bit tender when they tug on it to take out wires/powerchains. The canine on the tooth get tender as well. I guess it makes sense because the lateral that is in between is gone and most of my time being braced so far has been focused on trying to close up that space.
