How long would I need braces for?

I can't stick my pinky between my upper and lower teeth when I bite. Is this normal?

As far as I know, no one should be able to stick their pinky between upper and lower teeth when biting. That would indicate a serious overjet that would require braces to fix.

I think I probably was close to being able to put my pinky in between my top and bottom teeth, but that's definitely not something you should be able to do.

As for length of time, probably somewhere around 18-24 months (seems to be the standard for most people)
