Will my face look weird when finished with braces?

I have an overbite and my top teeth cover my bottom teeth when I close my mouth. Whenever I move my jaw so my teeth are in the 'correct' position (I can see my bottom teeth) it makes my face look really strange and as if I have an underbite and my lips don't touch. I also have had 4 of teeth extracted on the top and bottom and I've heard people saying that it made their face look strange and flat.

Yeah I know what you mean.
Wait until your braces are close to coming of to see how your face will look.

I have to have 4 teeth extracted as well, but my Orthodontist wants to put braces on first and remove teeth later. I have read where some people say it will change how your face looks. But, I think it is worth the risk because my teeth are so bad. Good luck on your journey!

I had a quick convo with a dentist about pulling teeth and he said it's all ok unless they move them too much.
How many people do you know with braces and did their face change?
Are you getting surgery?
Trust your ortho.

I know a few of my friends had their teeth pulled when they had braces but they didn't say their face changed so thats a relief. I'm not getting surgery either thankfully.
